Klipsch CDT5800CII In-Wall System and Onkyo TXNR828 #49
1 SW-115 SUB
1 ONKYO TXNR828
Thanks to a new patent-pending gimbal mechanism, known as Controlled Dispersion Technology (CDT), both the high and low frequencies of the CDT-5800-C can be directed towards the listening area. Because the tweeter is independently adjustable from the woofer, this speaker offers even more precise localization.
The CDT-5800-C features a 1-inch titanium tweeter mated to a swiveling 100-degree Tractrix Horn. This swiveling horn design dramatically increases efficiency by enabling the speaker to produce more output using less energy. Additionally, a horn-loaded tweeter works well in instances where you want to point the sound to a specific location because it has more controlled directivity than a conventional dome tweeter.
The speaker's 8-inch Cerametallic woofer also has great positioning capabilities. It can rotate a full 360 degrees and then shift 15 degrees in any direction. This flexibility combined with the swiveling tweeter puts you in complete control of where the sound will go.
Other professional grade features, such as a premium network and treble and bass contour switches, help the CDT-5800-C establish a new benchmark in architectural audio excellence.
Available in a white finish, the paintable CDT-5800-C can be paired with a Klipsch IK-800-C installation kit (sold separately). This revolutionary kit design incorporates a mud ring, breakaway wire tie and color-coded brackets for easy speaker size identification. It also includes perforated metal wings that easily fasten to the studs via screws, staples or nails. Painted white for easy marking and placement, these metal wings can be folded around the edge of the studs if necessary.
The R-5502-W employs dual 5.25-inch Cerametallic woofer cones for fast, accurate sound with dynamic detail, while a titanium tweeter mated to a pivoting Tractrix Horn generates flat in-room frequency response with high efficiency and low distortion. The speaker's precision-voiced crossover networks further ensure that the high and low frequencies are faithfully reproduced.
This in-wall speaker also consistently delivers thrilling, realistic sound, whether it's installed horizontally or vertically. It features all-new sure-grip mounting dogs that provide even pressure against drywall for long-term installation reliability, and includes a paintable grille that blends in perfectly with any decor.
Bass and treble switches with custom EQ settings allow the speaker to be tailored to its environment, while IR receiver knockout holes allow for infrared repeaters, bringing custom configuration to installers.
Furthermore, the R-5502-W offers unlimited flexibility. It is timbre matched to all of our 5000 series architectural products, so you can mix and match to create a high- performance, discreet stereo or home theater system that's just right for you.
Klipsch SW-115 Powered Subwoofer
The Klipsch SW-115 subwoofer delivers bass response below 20 Hz. Whether it’s the synthesized bass of an explosion or earthquake from a film or the extremely low true bass of a pipe organ or the distinct multiple low notes coming from a bass guitar, you will sit up and take notice of any and all extremely low frequencies.
The SW-115’s presence will be felt even in oversized rooms but its aesthetics allow it to blend within any setup or room size.
Its front-firing 15-inch driver and slot port not only reinforces the large driver for extremely high output, its design also helps to solidify the cabinet for minimal resonance. That means the Klipsch SW-115 subwoofer can be built into a wall or cabinet or hang out in a corner and still deliver maximum output and minimum “boominess.”
