In fact, it snared a CES Innovations Award for being one of the best designed and engineered audio products for 2005. Features
- Very high sensitivity and power handling
- Pivoting Tractrix Horn compression driver tweeter for clear sound in
- any location
- Treble and midbass attenuation switches and IR receiver knock out
- Single piece grille frame and rustproof aluminum grille
Detailed Description By featuring an 8-inch Cerametallic woofer cone, a 1-inch titanium tweeter mated to a square 90-degree by 60-degree pivoting Tractrix Horn, as well as treble and bass contour switches, there's no denying this speaker's natural precision, clarity and efficiency. Not to mention, because the pivoting horn allows listeners to point the sound where they want it to go, the direct to reflected energy ratio is high in the listening area creating a large soundstage with well-defined imaging. Available in a white finish, the R-5800-W can be paired with the Klipsch IK-800-W installation kit (sold separately). This revolutionary kit design incorporates a mud ring, breakaway wire tie and color-coded brackets for easy speaker size identification. It also includes perforated metal wings that easily fasten to the studs via screws, staples or nails. Painted white for easy marking and placement, these metal wings can be folded around the edge of the studs if necessary. Features
- High sensitivity and power handling
- Swiveling Tractrix Horn compression driver tweeter
- Treble and midbass attenuation switches
- Paintable to blend with ceiling
Detailed Description Thanks to a new patent-pending gimbal mechanism, known as Controlled Dispersion Technology (CDT), both the high and low frequencies of the CDT-5800-C can be directed towards the listening area. Because the tweeter is independently adjustable from the woofer, this speaker offers even more precise localization. The CDT-5800-C features a 1-inch titanium tweeter mated to a swiveling 100-degree Tractrix Horn. This swiveling horn design dramatically increases efficiency by enabling the speaker to produce more output using less energy. Additionally, a horn-loaded tweeter works well in instances where you want to point the sound to a specific location because it has more controlled directivity than a conventional dome tweeter. The speaker's 8-inch Cerametallic woofer also has great positioning capabilities. It can rotate a full 360 degrees and then shift 15 degrees in any direction. This flexibility combined with the swiveling tweeter puts you in complete control of where the sound will go. Other professional grade features, such as a premium network and treble and bass contour switches, help the CDT-5800-C establish a new benchmark in architectural audio excellence. Available in a white finish, the paintable CDT-5800-C can be paired with a Klipsch IK-800-C installation kit (sold separately). First lets take a good look at the speaker above. Click each thumbnail image to show a larger image of the speaker. Now lets super size it. Click the larger image to bring up an even larger, cleaner picture. Now that you can see what you are looking at, lets talk about it. Powered Subwoofers are designed to bring out the low end bass response found in DVD movies or music. Huge explosions, dinosaurs walking or just bass guitar and drums, the PA-120W is designed to reproduce these sounds perfectly. The alignment of a large 12" polygraphite woofer, and a built in 650 watt amp makes this sub fill any room with powerful clear bass. We have given you even more control over the way you tune your subwoofer. An adjustable crossover to custom set the frequency response, a volume control to set the output and an auto on/off switch to power on the PA- 120W as soon as that bass hits your sound track. All these features make the PA-12W one of the strongest powered subwoofers on the market today. It is available in two stunning colors black or cherry.
